Windblown.
Windblown is a photographic series tracing the presence of wind across the landscape, from open moorland, coastal edges to upland fells. Though invisible itself, the wind is rendered visible through its touch; in bent grasses, rippled water, leaning trees and the slow abrasion of stone. These landscapes are shaped not only by sudden gusts, but by a sustained passage that presses, polishes and carries.
Through long exposures and careful timing, the work holds fleeting movement within the still image. Blurred reeds describe arcs of motion while taut trees register direction. The photographs explore the tension between what can be seen and what must be inferred, between the fixed horizon and the restless air that crosses it. In doing so, the series considers wind as both a shaping force and a quiet collaborator, revealing the landscape not as static scenery but as a responsive, weather-bound terrain in constant negotiation with the elements.
